Time-based Competition Quests

Please read the notices section before playing.

Arena Quest Counter

You can take part in Time-based Competition Quests from the Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub.
At the Arena Quest Counter, you can take on various Time-based Competition Quests or join quests that other players have posted.
After accepting the quest and embarking, you will be relocated to the specified environment. Once the main target has been hunted, you will be returned to your previous environment.

  • Note: If you are connected to the internet, your quest completion time will be uploaded to the rankings.
  • Note: Once you've reached HR 16 or higher, the Grand Hub can be unlocked by talking to Tetsuzan in the upper area of Suja, Peaks of Accord.

Time-based Competition Quests

Each Time-based Competition Quest has its own menu and different conditions for participation.

  • Note: SOS Flares cannot be used in Time-based Competition Quests.
  • Time-based Competition Quests cannot be joined once the quest has started.
  • Support Hunters can be enabled during quest acceptance.

Arena Quests

In these quests, players compete to defeat the target monster as fast as possible using a pre-determined set of equipment.
Before starting, you can adjust your equipment and prepare for the hunt.
Up to two players can participate, with Support Hunters also available to assist.

  • Note: Palicoes cannot join the quest.
  • Meal effects will be temporarily disabled during the quest.
  • Status effects such as from items and Melody Effects will disappear upon departure.
  • These quests will always be available.
  • Reach Rank B or higher to unlock special armor in the Smithy.

Free Challenge Quests

These are quests that become available for a limited time.
In these quests, players compete to defeat the target monster as fast as possible using any equipment of their choice.
Up to four players can participate, with Support Hunters also available to assist.

  • Note: To enable Support Hunters to assist you in Free Challenge Quests, adjust your Multiplayer Settings to allow Support Hunters, then start a quest with open player slots.

Challenge Quests

#

These are quests that become available for a limited time.
In these quests, players compete to defeat the target monster as fast as possible using a pre-determined set of equipment.
Before starting, you can adjust your equipment and prepare for the hunt.
Up to two players can participate, with Support Hunters also available to assist.

  • Note: Palicoes cannot join the quest.
  • Meal effects will be temporarily disabled during the quest.
  • Status effects such as from items and Melody Effects will disappear upon departure.

Rewards

#

Quests offer the chance to earn a variety of rewards. Some rewards are given to all participants, while others are granted based on Completion Time or ranking. Check a quest's details for more information.

  • Note: Reward conditions are subject to change. In the event of a change, details will be announced on our official social media channels.
  • Note: All Time-based Competition Quests may be available again at a later time, and their rewards for participation, Completion Time, and rankings may be obtainable through other means.
  • Time-based Competition Quests will go through three phases. First, the quest will be available to play. Then, your ranking will be calculated. Finally, the results will announced and rewards will be distributed.
  • Rewards will be distributed after rankings are finalized, which is expected to happen one to two weeks after a quest has ended. Stay up to date with the latest information on official media channels.
  • When you complete a quest, if your quest completion time is A Rank, a Time Rank Reward will be added to your quest completion rewards.
  • In Arena Quests and Challenge Quests, you are able to earn Pinnacle Coins as quest completion rewards.
  • Pinnacle Coins can be used as Forging Materials for the Guild Cross α armor set and Clerk α armor.

Rankings

#

When you complete Time-based Competition Quests while connected to the internet, your best time will be recorded in the rankings.
In addition to worldwide rankings, you can also view the records of your Hunter Friends and Squad Members.

  • Note: Rankings are displayed on the Expedition Record Board near the entrance to the Grand Hub.
  • Completion Times are available to view immediately.
  • Rankings will be aggregated on all platforms.

Notices

  • – Before playing Monster Hunter Wilds, please read the End User License Agreement
  • – The availability, rankings, and rewards of Time-based Competition Quests may be changed or cancelled without notice.
  • – Time-based Competition Quests are for online play only. They cannot be played offline. Access to an internet connection is required to play the game online.
  • – In order to play online, you will need a PlayStation®Plus subscription for the PlayStation®5 version, or a Game Pass Core or Ultimate subscription for the Xbox Series X|S version.
  • – Accounts deemed to be malicious to Time-based Competition Quests will have their access to features restricted or their account suspended.

Prohibited Actions

  • – Accounts that Capcom deems to have committed prohibited actions such as using cheats, external tools, or violating the End User License Agreement will have their times erased and their rights to claim rewards revoked.
    Accounts may also be suspended or have their available features restricted. To avoid committing prohibited actions, please review section eight of the End User License Agreement
  • – Even if you yourself did not commit prohibited actions, if a party member in multiplayer committed prohibited actions, the completion time of all party members will be deemed invalid, thus, their times will be erased and their rights to claim rewards will be revoked.
  • – Accounts deemed by Capcom to have committed a prohibited action will be suspended or have limits places on their available features.
    Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited acts or those who you suspect of such actions.
  • – Individuals who are mistakenly deemed to have committed a prohibited act will not be compensated later with participation and ranking rewards.
    Furthermore, their times may not be reflected in new rankings of future Time-based Competition Quests.
  • – Furthermore, if you are certain that a player is performing prohibited actions, please report them.
    To report a player, navigate to their Hunter Profile screen and select Report.
  • – The committal of prohibited actions is determined solely through the investigations of Capcom.
    All matters related to the determination of prohibited actions will not be shared or discussed with customers.
    Thank you for your cooperation.
  • – Completion times for Time-based Competition Quests may be marked as invalid in the rankings after result calculations.
    Final results for the rankings will be announced through official channels.
  • – Please refrain from any speech or actions in-game or elsewhere that expresses support for prohibited acts.
  • – Intellectual property rights of Monster Hunter Wilds are the property of Capcom or legitimate third parties and are protected by Japanese copyright law, international treaties and agreements, and other applicable laws.
    In the event of infringement of intellectual property rights by the customer, the owners of these intellectual property rights may file for an injunction against use, claim damages, or take any other take necessary legal action against the customer to protect their rights.
